The Ministry of Culture is responsible for issues related to culture, democracy, media, national minorities, and the language and culture of the Sámi people.
The Unit for Language, National Minorities and Archives (SNA) is responsible for language issues, intangible cultural heritage, archive issues, and certain museums within cultural policy. The unit is also responsible for issues concerning national minorities, the indigenous Sámi people's language and culture, and the commemoration of the Holocaust. The unit also coordinates, among other things, research and preparedness issues within the ministry.
The current tasks include processing issues within the unit's areas of responsibility, including cultural heritage issues. The work involves analysis, monitoring, and processing ongoing issues. You will prepare materials for the political leadership, process cases, and drive processes within your areas of responsibility. It may also be relevant to work on preparations for and participation in international meetings. Administrative tasks are included. The tasks often need to be carried out under time pressure, and you should find it enjoyable to work in conditions where you must be prepared for the unforeseen.
The work takes place in ongoing and close dialogue with both your manager, the ministry's leadership, and colleagues within the ministry, as well as with other ministries, authorities, and organizations within civil society. We offer a job that is developing and varied with many points of contact.

Your background
To be considered for this role, you need to meet all the requirements, and preferably also the desirable criteria.
Requirements:
- University or college degree in a relevant field for the role
- Current experience of several years of administrative work within a government agency or public administration
- Knowledge of Swedish public administration
- Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English
Desirable:
- Experience of administrative work within the Government Offices
- Experience of working with cultural heritage issues
- Experience of working with governance issues, particularly agency governance
- Experience of working with the unit's other areas of responsibility
- Knowledge of the unit's areas of responsibility
- Knowledge of working with international organizations such as the EU, UN, or the Council of Europe

The position concerns one or more permanent full-time positions starting with a 6-month probationary period, with immediate access. We will call for interviews on an ongoing basis.
